Call for Tutorial Proposals
The Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (PRICAI) is a biennial international event for researchers and industry practitioners to share their new ideas, original research results and practical development experiences which concentrate on AI technologies and their applications in areas of social and economic importance for the countries in the Pacific Rim region. In the past, the conferences have been held in Nagoya (1990), Seoul (1992), Beijing (1994), Cairns (1996), Singapore (1998), Melbourne (2000), Tokyo (2002), Auckland (2004), Guilin (2006), Hanoi (2008), Daegu (2010), Kuching (2012), Gold Coast (2014), Phuket (2016), Nanjing (2018), Fiji (2019), and Yokohama (2020, online).
The 18th PRICAI (2021) will be held virtually in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The conference organisers invite proposals for tutorials in all areas of Artificial Intelligence. Sessions can cover established topics in AI as well as emerging subfields. We also welcome tutorials with an applications focus and which can engage the audience with interactive demonstrations.
Proposal Submission
A tutorial proposals should contain:
- A title and brief description of the tutorial content
- A brief outline of the tutorial structure for the three-hour slot (30 minute intermission)
- Goals and objectives of the tutorial
- Expected background of the target audience
- Names, affiliations, postal addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of all instructors, including a short statement of their research interests and areas of expertise
- Any requests for special equipment for the presentation (audio, visual, Internet, etc.)
Proposals should be no more than 5 pages in length, including the instructors' contact information. Electronic submissions (in pdf format) should be received by June 15th, 2021. The deadline for submission of tutorial notes will be announced after the acceptance, for printing and distribution at the conference.
