There are no airports in Kyoto Prefecture. Therefore, if you wish to travel by air, you will need to use an airport in a neighboring prefecture.

Kobe Airport, Kansai International Airport, and Itami Airport are the closest airports to the venue, but only Kansai International Airport allows international flights.

Thus, if you are flying internationally from outside Japan, you will need to use Kansai International Airport.
